With a heavy heart, he approached Lord Vishnu in Vaikuntha and asked, "O Lord, please show me a way to relieve human suffering that is simple enough for everyone to follow." Lord Vishnu, in his infinite compassion, revealed the Satyanarayan Vrat - a simple yet powerful ritual that could be performed by anyone, regardless of caste, creed, or financial status. "This vrat," said the Lord, "requires only sincere devotion, some wheat flour, sugar, ghee, milk, and fruits. When performed with faith, it removes all obstacles and fulfills righteous desires."
