Lead me from untruth to truth, from darkness to light, from death to immortality. This prayer guides us from ignorance to knowledge, from despair to hope, from the temporary to the eternal.

Whenever dharma declines and adharma rises, I manifest myself. To protect the good, destroy evil, and establish righteousness, I appear age after age.

When to apply: Find hope in this during difficult times - divine help comes when truly needed.

Patanjali Yoga Sutras 1.2

Bhagavad Gita 12.13-14

Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.3

स्मृतिभ्रंशाद् बुद्धिनाशो बुद्धिनाशात्प्रणश्यति॥

Contemplating objects creates attachment; from attachment springs desire; from unfulfilled desire comes anger; from anger arises delusion; from delusion, loss of memory; from loss of memory, destruction of wisdom; from destruction of wisdom, one perishes.

When to apply: The chain reaction of unchecked desires - understand this to break negative patterns in life.

Rig Veda 10.191.2

I take refuge in Hanuman who is swift as thought, fast as wind, master of senses, foremost among the wise, son of the wind god, chief of the monkey forces, and messenger of Lord Rama.

When to apply: Powerful protection mantra for women and children. Chant during Navratri or when seeking divine mother's protection.

Bhagavad Gita 15.14

प्राणापानसमायुक्तः पचाम्यन्नं चतुर्विधम्॥

I am the digestive fire in all beings, and joining with the vital breaths (prana and apana), I digest the four types of food.

When to apply: Remember before meals - the divine enables digestion. This promotes mindful, grateful eating.

Bhagavad Gita 3.19

तस्मादसक्तः सततं कार्यं कर्म समाचर।
असक्तो ह्याचरन्कर्म परमाप्नोति पूरुषः॥

Therefore, always perform your duties without attachment. By performing actions without attachment, one attains the Supreme.

When to apply: The secret to stress-free work - do your duty without obsessing over outcomes.

Guru Stotram

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः।
गुरुः साक्षात् परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः॥

The guru is Brahma (creator), Vishnu (preserver), and Shiva (destroyer). The guru is the supreme divine itself. Salutations to that noble guru.

When to apply: Honor your teachers and mentors with this verse. Especially meaningful on Guru Purnima.

Rig Veda 7.59.12

We worship the three-eyed Lord Shiva, who is fragrant and nourishes all beings. May He liberate us from death for the sake of immortality, as a cucumber is severed from its vine.
